I feel like I have figured them out now. It will take time to find fabrics that have the right size prints of course. At this point, I'm using fabrics I have because they aren't always coming out perfectly. The dog print didn't come out great, but the polka dot one did!
The back of the dog pouch is better than the front. The polka dot one has a contrasting (floral)interior.
