Making progress
I made another one of these mats. They are so time consuming, or maybe it's just how I'm making them. Making mazes out of lycra on felt is really harder than you'd think! I photographed these separately and together in order to see the comparison. I impressed myself with the top line of the purple maze with the way the cord feeds first right to left and then left to right after looping through the end. Sadly, I can not bring myself to send these to the teacher for fear she'll want something different, but she's getting what I've made! I just don't have the time and energy to remake them or go get more supplies. At this point, I am feeling drained by people asking for favors and not appreciating them.

Even if the teacher doesn't appreciate your efforts and hard work (which she SHOULD!), you know these mats will be well-loved by the kids - and that's what matters most!! Big kudos to you!
ReplyDeleteYou're the best. My sister-in-law gave the teacher my name. That's fine, but the teacher calls me and is all demanding: when are they are going to be done? How many can I make? Make out of these materials......THEN, the sister-in-law emails today to see if I'm on it. Don't refer me if you think I'm going to embarass you. The baptism gift! That's another story of someone asking me to do something and then not appreciating it. I'm just frustrated when I have all of this end of month/quarter stuff for work too. Trying to make too many people happy and nobody seems to be!
