Does this count?

On a lot of blogs, I see the authors completing a challenge of which I am so envious. They post everyday and it has to be something that they made. I'm using this for today. It was a special occasion, so I made a special dessert:

I also tried to be artistic with photography. I've tried to do a little 'art immitating life', if you will. Even though I am not busy with kids, I am super busy. This photo captures how I am always running somewhere: to work, to teach a class, to train, to the store, to get chores done....
Here's the whole collection of my Kayano 13's. Sadly, they've now become Kayano 14's and I'm not loving them. Running shoe companies are always "upgrading" the current model, disappointing a lot of runners, or at least me!
The first pair of the collection is now used to cut the grass. They even hold an old pair of orthotics.
My current pair that is just about out of miles. They have done a lot of clean road running and treadmill runs and look like new. Thank God since they're the last pair I'll ever have:( This is so sad, and I don't mean that I can't get them anymore, more that I'm even writing this! What I probably need to do is take a photography class because I would love to have made this some kind of artistic expression, but I guess I'll just stick to textiles!

  2. I do think these came in a metallic gold too, but I preferred the blue. The running shoes and not meant to be glamourous. Now, when I was wearing the 1110's, I had 5 paris of orange, 1 pair of green and silver, and a pair that was blue with a little pink. I get a new pair about every 4 mos., so it's easy when I can just run into the running store and say I need blah, blah, in blah, blah, but now that they've changed them, I'm in a pickle:( Thanks for your comment--this is such an uninteresting topic.

  3. So does this mean that you are doing the everyday posting challenge? I found the shoes very entertaining BTW. Cracks me up at how many you own! Yet, as you actually are athletic that makes sense. I on the other hand replaced my Nike AIRS (Mike likes to emphasis the AIRS part while making fun of me)that I have had since college with a sweet pair of Saucony running shoes - or I should say that they were gifted to me by my adoring husband :-) I love them! NO response necessary on how pathetic I am.

  5. Don't worry about it--it only means you have better things to spend your money on! I would love to do a daily posting/creation challenge, but I would just be setting myself up for failure.

  7. The ones on the far left are of course grass cutting shoes, the ones on the far right are the current pair, the ones in between take me to the store, walk the dog, and live on different floors of the house because sometimes I get a little lazy and they stay where I take them off. Luckily, I've got a few spares!
