My friends are great. Great friends, GREAT moms, great wives, all around great people. They have the cutest, funniest, smartest kids. The little girls are little divas. Here is an apron for one of them.
In classic Project Runway or Shear Genius fashion, two of my favorite shows right now, I will explain what I did and why.....I chose the blue ribbon because it was one of the least used colors on the fabric. I attached it using only they top edge to add some dimension. I used the purple sparkly rick rack because like I said, the little girls I know are divalicious. And, the red rick rack, well, I just love rick rack!
These pleats were good practice. I'd never want them on a pair of pants, but somehow, they were the perfect way to ruffle this apron and draw in the waist line. I left the ribbon tie long enough to go around the little one's waist and tie in the front--I also love bows! But, it'll be up to the mom or the little angel how it's worn.
