I hope

This works. I made this blanket for my mom's friend who's going to a baby naming party. I want her to have the best gift and of course want this to be perfect. There was something about this yarn that I really loved. The baby is due in October, so I thought this had really pretty baby colors but with a Fall look to them. I haven't been able to find the perfect edging, so I'm working on flowers to finish it off.
I'm using some ribbon flowers every few just to jazz it up a bit. It's still a work in progress. I'm getting so good at these flowers though and having fun experimenting with the different sizes.

  1. Further proving that you are the MAN! Or, should that be WO-MAN! What a beautiful blanket and the perfect gift :-) And the flowers add that special touch that is fabulous!

And what a neat ceremony! I had never heard of such an event. Sounds nice :-)

  2. As usual, you're being too nice. I kind of picture this though as one of those blankets that gets thrown over the whole kit (kid--tee hee!) and caboodle--you know, when you put a blanket over the top of the carrier, etc. The flowers aren't sewn on yet, I'm waiting until I get them all made to attach. I hope it looks good...... A baby naming ceremony is a Jewish tradition when a baby girl is expected.
