First, the skirt has been complete for a couple of weeks now and has even been worn:

This one is particularly special as it has ribbon that I've been saving for a long time (my mom got it for me!) and a lining that I've been saving too. I have bandanas from Race for The Cure events and used one on the inside of this bag.
In other projects, a friend gave me a dress that got stained at an outdoor wedding. She thought I could use some part of it for something--of course I could! This was the front of the skirt, that I used to make a pillow for our black leather chair. It has beautiful beading to make it just a little more special.
A lady in my Spin class "heard" that I sew and asked if I was interested in a job. She had ordered baby bedding for her sister but notified that it was discontinued shortly before the baby was due to come. To make the job even more complicated, her sister lives in South Carolina and could not send me photos of what the "custom" crib that I was making this for looked like. I got 3 sets of measurements, all different but in the end, somehow, got it figured out. Sadly, they've never sent photos, only told me that it was a good fit. What was even more beautiful was the skirt that I failed to photograph during the rush. At least I can post the bumper pads.
